I am pleased to announce that the 'crystal cave' is up and bling bringing!
Commissioned by the Clint Reily Group for the Merchants Exchange Building, the final icicle design pays tribute to the classic modern 'falkland' lamp designed by Bruno Munari for Danese in 1964. We thought of pushing the idea of employing materials usually used for textile industry/craft (the lamp was produced in a nylon stocking factory) even further by introducing another element along with the Lycra tubing: the embroidery hoop.
Huge kudos to Rebar and Cool Neon for their professionalism and acumen throughout; specifically Ghigo DiTomasso, Tyler Pew and his crew for working through the night to deliver the project on time, and for their mindfulness in addressing our clients' concerns regarding the atrium's priceless marble floors and million dollar artworks.
The work will be available for viewing from Nov. 24 – Jan. 5. Immerse yourself in the designerly psychedelic array at 465 California Street from 9am – 6pm.
